GD I for Tuesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 11

Tuesday:

Cassie Hester will be talking to your about our projects for Art Incend the first week of November. This may involve a walk to the new Visual Arts Building, so dress accordingly.

Due at the beginning of class on Thursday:

One rendering of your hillbilly word using Illustrator that is EXACTLY like your last drawing.
• a MINIMUM of five new designs using only black, white and one shade of gray, on "legal" size paper (8.5" x 14")
• remember what we talked about in class today: when you are designing something, you must do a lot of it to work out the problems and reach a solution that is truly unique. Develop an attitude of enthusiastic trial and error. The more you do, the better your final solution will be.
• you should also approach this process almost like a scientist: think of all the different variations you can do. Do one idea and then do the opposite. Do another one and combine two different ideas. When you work like this, one idea should generate the next one.
